ഇനി പറയൂ,ഓഹരികള്‍ ദീര്‍ഘകാലം കൈവശം വയ്കുന്നത് വിഷമം ഉള്ള കാര്യം ആണോ ?

2000ത്തിലാണ് ഒരു ഓഹരി വിദഗ്ധന്റെ നിര്‍ദേശം അനുസരിച്ച് രവികുമാര്‍ കിറ്റെക്‌സിന്റെ ഓഹരിയില്‍ ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപ നിക്ഷേപിച്ചത്. പത്തു രൂപ മുഖവിലയുള്ള ഓഹരി അന്നത്തെ വിപണിവിലയായ നാലു രൂപയ്ക്ക് വാങ്ങിയപ്പോള്‍ ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപയ്ക്ക് 25,000 ഓഹരികളാണ് കിട്ടിയത്. പക്ഷേ പിന്നീട് മുഖവില പത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒന്നായി വിഭജിച്ചതോടെ കൈവശമുള്ള ഓഹരികള്‍ പത്തിരട്ടി വര്‍ധിച്ച് 2.5 ലക്ഷമായി. വിലയും ക്രമേണ ഉയര്‍ന്നു വന്നു. ഇന്ന് കിറ്റെക്‌സ് ഓഹരിയുടെ വില നിലവാരം 50 രൂപയില്‍ എത്തി നില്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ രവികുമാറിന്റെ കൈവശമുള്ള സമ്പത്തിന്റെ മൂല്യം 1.25 കോടി രൂപ. അതായത് 12 വര്‍ഷം മുമ്പ് നടത്തിയ ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ നിക്ഷേപം ഇന്ന് രവികുമാറിനെ കോടീശ്വരന്‍ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. 12 വര്‍ഷം കൊണ്ട് 125 ഇരട്ടി. എട്ടു ശതമാനം പണപ്പെരുപ്പം കണക്കാക്കിയാല്‍ പോലും അത്യാകര്‍ഷകമായ നേട്ടം തന്നെ. കഴിഞ്ഞ അഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷമായി തുടരുന്ന വിപണി തകര്‍ച്ചയിലാണീ നേട്ടം എന്നതു കൂടി ഇവിടെ പരിഗണിക്കണം. ഇനിയൊരു മുന്നേറ്റം ഓഹരി വിലയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായാല്‍ രവികുമാറിന്റെ സമ്പത്ത് അതിനനുസരിച്ച് കുതിച്ചുയരും.

In September 2005 company gave bonus share at 2:3

which means you will get 2 shares free for every 3 shares held....So 1282*2/3=854 free shares........

So in total you will have 2136 shares(854+1282)

In 2010 march face value split from Rs.10 to Rs.5 which means you will get same shares as free

                         So 2136*2=4272 shares

Now mahindra share is quoting at Rs.760 which means 

                     4272*760=Rs.3246720

In 2010 January 12 mahindra was trading at Rs.1199 which means nothing but

                    4272*1199=Rs.5122128

CABLE DIGITILISATION IN ACTION

There will be no extension of the 31 October deadline for the first phase of the switch from analogue to digital cable television, although the government is concerned that the industry isn’t moving fast enough to install the required number of set-top boxes in time.

The government is committed to the digitization of cable television, Uday Kumar Varma, secretary, ministry of information and broadcasting, said at a Confederation of Indian Industry meeting in New Delhi on Thursday.

“There should be no need to reiterate this, but some people are hoping that DAS or digital addressable system may go the CAS (conditional access system) way and get postponed. I restate the government’s commitment to digitization,” he said.

The original 30 June deadline was moved to 31 October when some constituents of the cable industry sought more time for preparation.

Varma said the government was worried about the slow progress the cable operators were making in moving from analogue to digital.

In the first phase, the four metros—Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai—need to switch to digital cable. Currently, only 50% of Mumbai, 35% of Kolkata, 29% of Delhi and 12.4% of Chennai have been digitized, according to statistics compiled by the government. In view of the deadline for these four cities, the cable industry has to seed 170,000 boxes a day in the next two months, Varma said.

“The current rate is not even one-tenth of this. We are worried,” he said, adding that the industry should not count on the possibility of extension. “It is categorically ruled out.”

Rahul Khullar, chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), said digitization has been mandated by the law of the land. “Technology has overtaken us and we need to adjust. Any organization which does not adapt to change dies,” he said, referring to resistance to digital cable from some stakeholders.

The Bill to digitize the cable sector in India by 31 December 2014 was passed by the Lok Sabha in December 2011. The Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Amendment Bill 2011 includes mandatory digitization of the entire country, systematized registration of cable operators and the use of standard equipment by the industry, among other things.
